Rac's rock Bonaroo

There is no way to cover Jack white in a single post so be prepared to read more about him from time to time, but this is his "other band" (aside from White Stripes) The Raconteurs, fronted by him (black t-shirt) and Brendan Benson. This performance is unbelievable. I think jack will be one of those guys still making amazing music 30 years from now.

His songs reference everything from Tesla to Acetomenephin. His voice has been described as "yelping" and unpolished and often breaks, but he puts his whole heart into each song and is prone to guitargasmic whoops and shouts that are so purely ecstatic they just make me love him all the more. He considers songwriting and making music to be a tradition of storytelling and creative expression that he's said he feels proud to be able to join, and appreciates many kinds of music new and old.

For a little lesson in story construction check out "Carolina drama" in the player. Listen to the character descriptions. Short brilliant polaroids.

For more awesome Bonaroo concert clips click any of the links along the bottom of the youtube frame that come up after "Level" has played through. Enjoy.
